The Life's WORC Clinical Department supports and directs individual clinical needs while ensuring the provision of quality services. These services may include Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, and Adaptive Equipment Technology.  These therapy services are provided in each home dependent on individual need. Licensed and certified clinical consultants work directly with those we support on a weekly basis. Support Staff implement specific treatment plans so that clinical interventions are provided daily.

Clinical Department Administrators provide oversight and direction to clinical and support staff. The Director of Psychology provides much needed support to our psychologists, management teams and outside providers in the area of psychological needs/supports. The Assistant Director of Crisis Prevention and Intervention works closely with all agency administrators and support staff to lead teams through crisis situations to ensure treatment plans are effective and well implemented. The Director and Senior Director of Clinical Operations work closely with clinicians, management teams and outside service providers to ensure comprehensive clinical supports are provided to every person.

Occupational and Physical Therapists work directly with individuals in areas such as self-feeding, range of motion (ROM), positioning with splints, ambulation, wheelchair assessment and mobility. Treatment can also focus on enhancing independence in activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming and shopping.

Speech Therapists work closely with individuals and staff to enhance communication through augmentative devices. Speech Therapists also provide oversight of feeding, oral motor stimulation and treatment surrounding receptive and expressive language skills.

Psychologists provide counseling, assessment and intervention to assist those with psychiatric or psychological condition to better manage their symptoms or behavior. Psychologists provide ongoing staff training in the areas of Behavior Support and Strategies in Crisis Intervention and Prevention.

An extremely important clinical service that is provided in our residences is Nursing Care. Registered Nurses provide medical care and oversight to each individual living in a Life's WORC home. Nurses train staff, oversee medication administration, speak regularly with families and collaborate closely with physicians in order to provide quality medical care to those we support. The Life's WORC Nursing Department is led by an experienced Nursing Director and RN Program Directors who offer support, supervision and guidance as well as provide training in Medication Administration.

The Coordinator of Adaptive Equipment Services oversees all wheelchair repairs and new orders, while working closely with the therapists.
