Life's WORC: Residential Services

Life's WORC's residential services offer individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in a home of their own along with peers as a "family unit." Our group homes are located throughout Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. We provide residential supports for more than two hundred individuals with developmental disabilities, who may also have other health care needs or ambulation challenges. To this end, any specialized modification necessary to facilitate quality of residential life is provided in the surroundings of a beautifully furnished home. Our person-centered philosophy and the innovative efforts of staff, offer even the most challenged individual an option to live a fully integrated and productive life within their home and community.

Life’s WORC provides 24 hours a day, 365 days per year supports from staff. Each home has a manager, assistant manager, registered nurse and administrators who are available through the agency pager system, twenty-four hours a day when they are not in the home. The residential department is also responsible for meeting the clinical needs of the people we support. Therefore, our senior director of clinical services works closely with clinicians to ensure quality clinical care within the homes. The residential department continues to work toward providing each individual with an “enviable life".
